Who we are

One Company From the Teardown to the Graded Lot

TTL Services is a demolition contractor serving Paterson and the rest of New Jersey. We take down whole structures: office buildings, warehouses, factories, apartment buildings and houses. Paterson, the old mill city on the Passaic River, sits at the center of our service area.

Most of our work comes from towns and counties that put demolition jobs out for bids. Our public works demolition covers condemned buildings, municipal garages and buildings cleared for public projects. Developers and general contractors hire us for the same teardowns, and so do homeowners who plan to rebuild.

After the teardown, we sort the debris and haul it away, and concrete and metal go to recycling. When a builder is ready to start, we handle the foundation excavation and take the dirt away. Otherwise the lot is left graded and clean.

I needed a very thick concrete patio removed. After the first company I called packed up and quit after a few hours, Tailor showed up and got the job done in no time. Tailor really is a stand up guy and very trustworthy. Looking forward to working with them on future projects.

How We Work

How a Job With TTL Services Runs

From the first call or text to the finished work, here is how it goes.

1

Call or text

Call or text (201) 673-5470 and tell us what has to come down and where. Photos, plans or bid documents help us read the job.

2

We look at the job

We look at the building and the lot, and how our machines will get in. We note what the building is made of and what stands close to it.

3

The quote in writing

The quote spells out what comes down and how the lot is left. We set the date once you say yes.

4

Before the teardown

Each utility confirms its connection is removed or sealed, and then the town can issue the demolition permit. Any asbestos that would crumble is abated before the teardown. A call to New Jersey One Call (811) gets the buried lines marked.

5

Teardown and a clean lot

Our excavators bring the structure down, and the debris is sorted and hauled. The lot is left graded, or dug for the new foundation when the builder is ready.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions About Demolition, Excavation or Site Work?

The questions homeowners, developers and towns around Paterson and North Jersey ask us most. If yours is not here, call or text and we will answer it.

Call (201) 673-5470

What does a demolition contractor do?
A demolition contractor takes a structure down and clears away what is left. TTL Services takes down whole buildings, foundations included, and hauls the debris. When the job calls for it, we also dig or grade the lot for the next building.
What kinds of buildings do you take down?
We take down commercial buildings such as stores, offices, warehouses and parking garages. Industrial jobs include factories and old mill buildings, with their heavy concrete and steel. We also take down houses and multi-family buildings, with their garages and old foundations. Interior demolition for a renovation is a different job, and a renovation contractor is the right call for it.
Do you work for towns and counties?
Yes, and public work is most of what we do. Towns and counties put demolition jobs out for bids, and we bid on them. Past public jobs include a multi-level municipal parking garage and a church building, each with the site restored afterward. When a construction official orders an unsafe structure down after a fire or a collapse, we take that work too.
Are you licensed in New Jersey?
Yes, for commercial, industrial and residential demolition. We work only in New Jersey, and our jobs reach across the state.
How does pricing work for a demolition job?
We price each job after we look at it. The building's size and what it is built of drive the price, along with the foundation. Asbestos work and the weight of the debris move it too, and so does a tight lot. The quote comes to you in writing before any work starts.
What has to happen before a building comes down in New Jersey?
Each town's construction official issues the demolition permit under New Jersey's Uniform Construction Code. Before it issues, each utility that served the building confirms its connection is removed or sealed. The owner also confirms that asbestos that would crumble will be abated first. Towns add items of their own: Paterson's code calls for rat baiting 7 to 30 days before the demolition. The construction office in each town has the full list.
Who handles asbestos before a demolition?
The licensed asbestos abatement contractor we work with does the abatement. TTL Services runs the job as the general contractor and takes the building down after the abatement is cleared. You get one contract for asbestos abatement and demolition.
What happens to the debris after a teardown?
We sort it and haul it away in our own trucks and containers. Concrete and metal go to recycling, and the rest goes to a disposal facility. Demolition debris removal comes with every teardown we do, and we also haul construction debris for builders.
Where do you work?
Our yard is in Paterson, and our core area is North Jersey: Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Hudson, Union and Morris Counties. Public and commercial work takes us anywhere in New Jersey. See the towns and counties we serve for the full list.
